GTD for Private Equity

How much financial value is hidden in your portfolio?

GTD helps investors identify and quantify treasury opportunities that can improve EBITDA, release cash and strengthen financial control.

    Independent. Systematic. Quantified.

    The blind spot

Value-creation plans cover pricing, procurement and working capital. Treasury is often left out.

    • Banking and payment fees
    • Fragmented bank accounts
    • Idle cash and excess buffers
    • FX execution
    • Cash forecasting
    • Treasury controls

Whether these issues exist, and how material they are, varies by company. GTD finds out systematically.

    Three ways value shows up

    EBITDA improvement

Lower banking costs, automation and leaner treasury structures.

Counts only when it becomes a realised operating-cost reduction above EBITDA. Freed-up staff time is not treated as a saving.

    Cash and working capital

Better visibility, concentration and payment and collection processes.

Released cash is not EBITDA. Its value shows up as lower net debt, lower financing needs or higher equity proceeds.

    Enterprise value protection

Controls, payment fraud exposure, FX risk, bank concentration and governance.

Risk reduction supports better decisions. It is not presented as a guaranteed saving.

    Where GTD fits

    Recommended starting point

    First 100 days

Establish a treasury baseline, surface quick wins and give the CFO and Operating Partner a prioritised roadmap. Delivery is targeted within 10 business days of complete inputs.

    Pre-acquisition

A supplementary view of treasury risk and maturity. It does not replace financial due diligence and depends on the information the target can share.

    Across the portfolio

The same methodology, applied company by company, makes findings comparable and highlights recurring patterns.

    What the output looks like

Each finding linked to EBITDA, cash or risk.

Use the buttons to see which line of the financial statements each opportunity affects. Any valuation effect depends on the multiple, which is illustrative only.

Illustrative example: fictional figures, not a client result

    • Annual operating-cost opportunity

      €250K

      Affects EBITDA once realised.

    • Potential working capital release

      €2.4M

One-off cash effect: affects net debt, not EBITDA.

    • Potential financing cost saving

      €180K

Interest sits below EBITDA: affects net income and cash flow.

    • Treasury maturity score

      3.1 / 5.0

Indicates control and resilience, not a euro value.

These figures are deliberately not added together: they affect different lines of the financial statements. Identified opportunities are not realised benefits.
